Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my candidacy page! I would be honored to serve you, our children, parents, and this amazing community as a Lexington One School Board Trustee.
My motivation to run stems from a deep commitment to bettering our community and ensuring the success and well-being of our students, teachers, staff, and their families.
As a proud Lexington One graduate from the southern part of the county, I’ve learned that success isn't only found through a college degree. With hard work, common sense, and a commitment to lifelong learning, anything is possible.
This mindset has shaped my career, starting with my election to the Town Council at 21, giving me valuable experience in governance and leadership. I’ve also served on various boards and councils and represented taxpayers on the Lexington County Tax Assessment Board of Appeals. For the past six years, I’ve worked as a real estate agent, gaining insights into our local economy and the needs of our families.
I’m committed to ensuring that Lexington One provides every student with the tools they need to succeed—whether preparing for college, entering the workforce, or pursuing technical education. A fresh, young voice on the board can bring new perspectives, and that’s why I’m running. I humbly ask for your support and your vote on November 5th.
We must consistently pursue the highest standards in education, ensuring that our students achieve the best outcomes at Lexington One, all while maintaining a safe learning environment
Parental involvement is vital to a child’s success. We need to work together to consider the thoughts, opinions, and needs of families within their specific communities
Recognizing the importance of each support staff member is crucial for our district to meet the needs of our students. Their value should be acknowledged as a priority every day.
As our demographics rapidly change, we must ensure that our teacher salaries are more than competitive with neighboring districts. Our teachers should have the materials they need readily available, as well as the support to perform their jobs effectively in every way.
We all know that an amazing administrative team leads to a happy staff, involved families, and, most importantly, successful students. Our goal should be to ensure we have the best administrators possible.
Continue working closely with local businesses, organizations, and community members to provide our students with unique learning opportunities and experiences. We believe that these partnerships are essential to creating a strong and vibrant community
In a district as large as Lexington One, effective communication is crucial and will be a priority—not just with parents and students, but also within our organization. Too often, staff feel 'left in the dark' or that 'the right hand doesn't talk to the left.' From the district office to schools, support staff, maintenance, and transportation, everyone should communicate effectively.
The district should be committed to providing clarity regarding financial management and practices. I want to ensure that stakeholders, including parents, taxpayers, and community members, can access and understand how public funds are being used to support education. Transparency fosters trust between the school district and the community by demonstrating responsible and accountable use of public funds.
